Paying For iPhone/iTouch Updates?

      So i’ve just got my new 32GB iTouch, and to be honest i’m quite shocked.
      I set up my iTunes and everything and went to download some apps.
      First on the agenda was facebook.
      It was a free app, which is sweet. So i download it but it won’t install because i needed to update the software.
      OK, thats no problem, so i click update and i find out it costs £5.99 to download this shit.
      I’m like WTF!!!!
      I’ve just spent over £300 for this thing which included insurance and now they are raping me to get the latest update.
      What type of shit is that?
      My shit isn’t hacked and i wouldn’t know how to do it, but damn man. That sucks.

          I’ve just done abit of reading and from what i have gathered it looks like it’s a FREE software update if you have the iPHONE but you gotta pay if you have the iTOUCH.
          I’m soooooooooo pissed off right now.

                  The iTouch it’s self is great, well apart from the shitty speaker, i’m just pissed about having to pay for updates.
                  I will eventually buy it coz i want facebook on it when i’m out and about but in a wifi area.
                  Oh, i downloaded the demo for the assassins creed game, and it’s actually pretty great.
                  The graphics are sick for the technology it’s running off.

                    dude, when u say itouch, i chuckle a little bit, sounds like something a peadophile would say in a childs playground…it’s an iPod Touch, nowhere is it marketed as an iTouch lol

                        Damn that shit was lucky.

                        So ye i got my iPod Touch ( there you go Keir lol ) today, and little did i know it’s was the day of Apples iPod conference.
                        Apparently there was alot of hype saying they were going to release a new touch with a camera on it. Luckily they didn’t, the only hardware revisions are bigger hard drives. 32GB is enough for me.
                        Anyway, the new version of iTunes (iTunes 9) has also gone live aswel as a new firmware update 3.1.
                        Now before i was pissed off about having to pay for version 3.0 for £5.99, well this new one is only £2.99 so i thought fuck it and have bought it.
                        The only problem is now i can;t download the bastard.
                        I thought maybe it was just me but loads of people have been having problems and getting the same error message i have. I guess the servers are getting fucked at the moment by everyone trying to download it.
                        If you can download it then let me know.

                              The new touchs have better CGI and are faster, so you did miss out.

                              Also there is many ways to bypass paying for the upgrade but by now I think it is safe to assume you already bought it. Plus the 3.x firmware tends to have garbage wi-fi compared to previous firmwares (i downgraded). Lastly, jailbreak your iPod because it is crap without it.

                                I’m loving my iPod Touch right now. I like being able to surf the web on it without the hassel of setting up my laptop, plus there are some great apps on there.

                                  I’m telling you though, jailbreaking is vital, you get free apps, free new movies, free tvs shows, save youtube videos and a whole lot more shit.
