i have 2 main problems, and to me they are the 2 main issues why this game is not as good as previous resident evil titles
1. It’s Co-Op…simple, Resident Evil is not a co-op game, it’s as simple as that, it’s probably the game that is most suited for one player in the history of games, apart from RPG’s. it seemed to me like the makers copped out, because these days it’s all about online play, so instead of bringing out a one player game, they opted to attempt to expand the market by making it co-op thus enabling people to play it on xbox live. worst decision in the making-of-the-game process. Resident Evil aims to be scary, a co-op game is not scary for the simple fact you feel like someone has got your back lol, it’s true, you aren’t scared to open the next door because if something is in there, you can run out and the dude covering you can unload on it, unlike before you may run out, but whatever was in the room would chase you out until you had the balls to turn and face the fucker, that’s just one example of why co-op on a resident evil game is bad. A classic Resident Evil struggle is running out of ammo, you feel as stranded and alone as ever when your ammo is empty, but on resident evil 5, if you run out you just tell your mate and he gives you some, and if you both run out, it’s not a struggle, it becomes funny, and you both end up slashing wildly with the pathetic knife system until one of them drops you some ammo. there’s more reasons also but fuck it next…
2. There’s too many zombies(if u can call them that)… yeah, too many of them, too many to the point where it’s not scary, your not shocked by them round the next corner anymore instead you end up thinking “oh for goodness sake, this is getting stupid” I remember when i was about 10 years old, i bought the first resident evil game, you was in the empty mansion to start with, about 5 mins in, still nothing, then you turned a corner and you saw your first zombie, i got fucking scared like oh my god wtfudge is that!!! that was classic resident evil, not the amount of zombies, but just having them at the right place at the right time was scary enough
just my 2 cents, do you agree, any other reasons why resident evil 5 is just good not great

I always felt like they were trying to give you a good amount of tension, but never actually scare you. As far as tension goes there is plenty of it in this game. As far as survival horror games go, RE has always been heavy on the survival and light on the horror. That hasn’t changed in this one. If anything, every time I know I’m about to get to a boss, I’m dreading it. I’ve never gone into any of the boss fights feeling prepared. I’ll look at my ammo and say “damn, I wish I had some more.” Yet I always seem to make it out by the skin of my teeth. That’s probably the best part about the game.
I never felt like there were too many zombies in the game, but we should be used to that, since RE is an action heavy game.
My only complaint is that RE5 didn’t have more segments where you and your partner we split up. The parts where you would be in the same area, but too far away to save each other if you needed it were great moments of building tension, especially towards the end.

I agree with the not scary part….that is one thing that made RE series so fun was playing it in the dark…jumping and creeping around each corner cuz your scared to enter…lol, but I like all the zombies, makes it harder…and I personally was waiting for them to make it co-op…i think it adds a whole new level to the game…and in turn that is probably why there are so many zombies….
my main problem with the game is there arnt as many puzzles you have to complete and figure out as RE4….I think thats what made RE4 one of the best games ever and why it got in the top 10 games of all time its first year out…
I do say though, i can not put the controller down un til my girl finally makes me. Lol
