PSP Holiday Survival Guide: Best PSP Games

I totally know how these Holidays usually go down. I expect to be stuck at some relatives house for an extended period of time bored out of my mind. With that said it occurred to me that I need to make sure my PSP game list is tight. Earbuds… check. Extra battery… check. Here are a list of games any PSP owner should look into having to keep sane over the numerous airline flights, extended car rides, or boring times with the relatives. You may want to get on the mission of procuring these now while you still have time to order these online or hunt them down. Stay tuned for my Nintendo DS guide. Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles

This game is great. As its main feature its comprised of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood in its first release outside of Japan. Rondo is a throwback to original Castlevania in terms of how it plays, its challenging and you can unlock the critically acclaimed ‘Castlevania: Symphony of the Night’ game without even beating Rondo. Also, Symphony of the Night takes place right after Rondo so this pairing is perfect.

Wipeout Pulse

This game is fast, fun, looks great and features custom soundtrack support! Any MP3’s you put on your memory stick can be played during the game in custom playlists.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops

Takes Place after Metal Gear Solid 3 and is great for bite sized chunks of ‘tactical espionage’. Very polished, and fun though the controls take a sec to grasp.

Outrun 2006

This game looks great and plays great. Tons of stages, cars and music to unlock. A must have for any Outrun fan.

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X

A throwback style Mega Man game that is pretty fun.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror

A great polished stealth action game for the PSP.
