PS3 Version Of GTAIV Multiplayer Fucking Sucks

I’m sorry. I’m not tryin to troll, or any of that shit. It just fucking sucks.

It takes damn near 10 minutes to get a decent amount of people in a match, and when it does, you get “The connection to one or more players has been lost”. On top of that, the framerate with high traffic and peds is terrible and has to be dipping into the sub 10 level.

The only way I’m able to play online is when it’s around 5 people total playing a game.

I’m taking this shit back and exchanging it for the 360 version. The fuck relies on gamespy servers to power an online community anyway?

lol… I totally believe you though. You get what you pay for with the online I guess. I have a ps3 on preorder but im getting 360 versions of all online shit.

They did, and it didn’t do shit. Then you got people in denial talking about “adjust the settings on your router, upgrade the firmware” — LOL I’m not upgrading shit. The same internet I’m using to talk here, that I use to play other PS3 games should be good enough for GTAIV. Since it’s not, it’s getting the fuck out of here, back to best buy for the superior 360 version.

Your right, thats why you host your own games. It says the connection has been lost because the person who is hostn the game leaves which fucks up everything.When I host the games with the members on here I never have a problem, and I also agree with the gamespy thing rockstar fucked up on that but from my experience like I said before i have had no problems. The framerate dipping is bullshit.

I just saw this…if you refuse to upgrade the firmware then its your fault dumbass…how the fuck do you refuse to upgrade the software?? That is the dumbest shit I have ever heard

I upgraded my system. I finally have GTA IV.

Question? Can the PS3 online system run on wireless/Wi-Fi connection? Or do you have to have an ethernet cable?

I have 60 GB. Do I have to go under internet settings and punch in like the serial number to my internet modem? My laptop I’m on runs on Wi-Fi when I punched the serial No. in the settings.

go to network settings, and type in the Network name and the password to that network, same as your laptop and it should work

Host my own games? Right I should have to play multi player a certain way because Rockstar fucked up on the PS3 version. SWAYT. As I said before, the maximum amount of people before that error pops up is around 5, whether I’m hosting or not.

It’s all good though man, I’m just frustrated when I can go over to Chauncy Talon’s spot and play online instantly, but can’t at my own place.

Yea we know each other personally. He got my extra 360. He have GTA4 for the PS3 and I have it one the 360. He played that shit over my house with Brook, J High, GoILL, Sylent and a somebody else. Boy was geeked like a lil child. He also have my Wii, and my PS3. That why I’m not FOLDING. He have a PS3 also.
