Connecting a console to a computer

      I don’t have a television and can’t figure out if I can just connect a console to my Mac. I’m assuming I can but wanted to ask if anyone is doing/has done this. Is there a special set of cables I need or something? Apologies if this is a stupid question. Outside of a PSP this would be my first console. I’m thinking about the PS3 for Xmas.

        yo man it like this u need to get your monitor to connect to it…… HDMI convert to DVI or HDMI to HDMI….. only way….. but PS3 for Christmas……. don’t do it bro……. I only got 3 games fo it…. Five games on my wii and like 35 games on my 360

          So it’s doable then. Cool. So you’re sayin no on the PS3? Damn. I really want to get a console. You think the 360 is the better buy?

              So I’m f’d either way. Nice. The PS3’s just so damn tempting. I hear ya on games and all tho.

                    only reason to get a ps3 is for the blu-ray…unless yer a huge fan of FF lol..

                    360 has its upsides, i’ve had mine for over a year and havent had a single problem with it yet, the online features are awesome and its very simple to plug my zune right in and listen to music while playing…also, the 360 has halo and it has mass effect (exclusive titles) and it has several others i dont feel like listing…

                    I will say that I’ve only used a ps3 once at a friends house so i dont know all of its features but really it seems like the 360 is just better…way more games and shit…

                    as for plugging it into a computer, im sure it can be done u might just have to go buy a certain plug at radio shack or something…i’ve seen people plug em into the monitor

                      Yeah, the more I look into it the more the 360 seems like the way to go. I just bought a 30″ Apple monitor and shit is sweet. I wanna plug whatever I end up with right into it. Gonna investigate but it seems like I’ll be able to get it done.
